Who we are

Kerry Pearse and Margaret Girdwood established KemJ Pty Ltd in 2014. They are also the founding directors of the Burbangana Group, previously Moreton Consulting Pty Ltd, our sister company. (See http://www.burbangana.com.au for more info)

Kerry and Margaret have extensive experience as consultants working with government and not for profit agencies through their work with Moreton Consulting since 2010. Moreton Consulting is now Aboriginal majority owned and largely works with organisations driving social change and improving outcomes with and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. While Kerry and Marg continue to work with Burbangana, they have established KemJ to develop PlanTrak® and work with a broader range of organisations on the north coast of NSW.

Kerry is an innovative and strategic thinker with policy, program and senior management experience. Kerry is also a highly skilled facilitator who is people and outcome focussed. She has a flair for innovation, business improvement, building high performing teams and driving change. Kerry is used to working effectively in complex environments with multiple stakeholders. She has a successful track record of policy, program and corporate achievements as well as extensive experience in small business.

Prior to starting Moreton Consulting in 2010 Kerry worked as a senior executive in the Commonwealth and NSW public sectors for over ten years. This followed a successful career in the not for profit sector in the area of housing. This included managing a Tenants Advice and Housing Referral Service and working in the Community Housing sector.

Margaret Girdwood

imageMargaret has run a number of successful small businesses over her career, as well as working within the Commonwealth, NSW and ACT public sectors. She was the first woman to be awarded a building licence in the ACT, ran a successful building company, worked in public housing and more recently has consulted to a range of not for profits through her work with Moreton Consulting. Margaret started her working life as a teacher and maintains a strong interest in education and adult learning.
